Let's Talk About: Parsnips

The benefits of parsnips are plentiful!

Did you know parsnips are related to the same botanical family as carrots, celery and celeriac?

They have been studied on their ability to inhibit the formation and growth of cancerous cells. Parsnips have anti-inflammatory properties and are a great source of fibre, calcium, iron, magnesium and so much more.

How else do parsnips help your body? Parsnips are said to be helpful with an immunity boost, constipation, high blood pressure, and colon disorders.

Roast these guys, puree them into a soup, bake or steam them. I have even seen muffin recipes including parsnips. My personal favourite is roasted with other root veggies and avocado or coconut oil and some herbs.

How do you like your Parsnips
