Let's Talk about: Celery



I was recently asked about the benefits of celery and realized I needed a good reminder of just how beneficial celery can be.


  1. It acts as a diuretic which means that it helps excrete(or remove) water from the body.

  2. Fear not though because it is also electrolyte enhancing! This means it can help relieve things like muscle spasms or headaches.

  3. Acts as an antioxidant - meaning it can protect against certain cancers

  4. Has been shown to help lower high blood pressure especially if it is due to stress.

  5. Celery has detoxifying effects and is alkalizing to the body.

  6. It will help clear your skin from things like acne, eczema and psoriasis.

  7. Anti-inflammatory - reduces inflammation present in the body.

  8. Aids digestion

  9. Supports weight loss

  10. Protects the kidneys and liver

So to sum this all up; it is beneficial for relieving muscle spasms, headaches and supporting gout, kidney and liver issues, arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure or cholesterol, weight loss and getting clear skin amongst so many other things! Wow - so many benefits. 💜


Did you know you can re-grow celery if you plant the stalk in a little soil with water?

Celery can be eaten straight up, or juiced, with dips, ants on a log using natural nut butters, in salads, stir fries, soups, etc.
