Today I wanted to create a new smoothie recipe. I can never find a recipe for what I am looking for on Pinterest so I usually just throw stuff together and hope for the best. Sometimes it turns out well... sometimes not LOL. I wanted something similar to the delicious Cora's Blueberry-Raspberry smoothie I had recently. Berry Delicious! ;)

Seeing as I just created this recipe today - I have not tried any other additions. I know a dairy free coconut yogurt would be awesome in this but I used an organic greek yogurt today. I plan to make some homemade coconut yogurt soon so I will use that instead. I try to avoid dairy for the most part. I would love to try it with a vanilla or natural protein powder as well for more of a protein punch.
I know using others seeds OR adding MORE seeds would work great. Trying to get in 2 Tbsp of seeds per day (seed cycling - I'll post on this another day but you can research Seed Cycling for Hormone Balancing) and I feel like this will be a great smoothie to easily get that 2 tbsp of seeds in per day. Pumpkin, sunflower, chia, flax, or hemp seeds would work great. I am almost betting you could add a bit of greens into this too!
And then here is the bag of organic berry mix I purchased that inspired this recipe today:

Very Berry Smoothie Recipe:
Ingredients:
1/3 Cup Filtered Water (half the water if you plan to use coconut yogurt or kefir)
2/3 Cup Organic Plain Greek Yogurt or Coconut Yogurt or Plain Liberte Kefir
Small dollop of Local Raw, Unpasteurized Honey(Optional)
1-2 Tbsp Seeds (I used Flax today but pumpkin, chia, hemp, sunflower, etc. would work)
1 - 300pkg OR 2 Cups Frozen Mixed Berries
1 Tbsp Cultured Coconut Kefir (to make your tummy happier)
Add the ingredients from the first to the last in your blender. I like to blend my seeds first in my dedicated herb coffee grinder. Turn on your blender until well blended! You may find your blender needs more water or maybe less water but for my vitamix 1/3 cup was the perfect amount while using greek yogurt. I didn't even need to use my poke stick to get things moving in the blender. If I wanted it thicker though - add a bit less water and use the poke stick.
Hope you enjoy
