Hidden Veggie Berry Popsicles

The kids have been loving popsicles so to get as much nutrients into them as possible I have been making them homemade. We scored another Zoku popsicle tray on sale on Well.ca. Great price and we got a themed tray this time - Polar pops!

This recipe is similar to my Berry Spinach Smoothie recipe with some changes, additions and of course, options! You all know I am about versatility and options for those who have allergies.

Hidden Veggie Berry Popsicles:

Ingredients:

1/3-1/2 cup filtered water

2/3 cup Plain Russian Kefir OR Coconut Yogurt

1/2 - 1 Tbsp Local, RAW unpasteurized honey

1/4 cup Hemp Hearts

2 Cups organic mixed berries (I prefer frozen)

1 cup (fresh or frozen) spinach

1 Tbsp Cold Pressed Flaxseed oil (Buy the stuff in the refrigerator section!) OR Coconut oil

1 tsp Genestra HMF Forte Probiotics (Optional - Could use other brand of probiotic powder - Be sure it is from the refrigerator section!)

AFTER ADDING TO POPSICLE TRAYS:

Add 1 drop (or 500 UI) to each popsicle Vitamin D3 (Optional)

I use a vitamix but any blender would be fine I'm sure. Put the liquid first adding ingredients in order listed. You may need to add a little extra water if needed. You want it to be a consistency that is easy to pour into the popsicle trays. Add in the vitamin D3 to each popsicle mould if you so please to. Place the popsicle sticks in there and place the tray in the freezer overnight or until frozen! My kids enjoyed these.

Enjoy :)
